Lemsip Cold and Flu - Lemon. contains a combination of ingredients which are affective in relieving the symptoms associated with colds and flu, including relief of aches and pains, nasal congestion and lowering of temperature.
Paracetamol is a well known pain killer. It is effective against aches and pains, including a headache, and can also reduce a fever.
Phenylephrine Hydrochloride (nasal decongestant) reduces swelling in the passages of the nose, relieving nasal congestion and reducing the pressure which may cause a headache.
It is important to drink plenty of fluids when suffering from colds and flu.

Please always read the product leaflet carefully as with all medicines, Lemsip Cold and Flu Lemon may not be suitable for some people. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any ingredients ,you have a serious heart condition or you have a high blood pressure (hypertension), you are taking or have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI antidepressants) within 14 days. Do not take any other medicine which contains paracetamol. Do not take with large quantities of alcohol. You should ask the doctor before taking Lemsip Original Lemon if you are pregnant, or have Raynaud\\\\\\\'s syndrome (poor blood circulation which makes the fingers or toes pale and numb), diabetes, you have a problem with your liver, kidneys, you have non-cirrhotic liver disease, you are a woman with a history of pre-eclampsia (a condition of high blood pressure and swelling in pregnancy). If you have Phenylketonuria (an inherited genetic disorder), please note that this product contains aspartame, a source of phenylalanine If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product. Allergic reactions such as skin rashes, or blood reactions or agranulocytosis, may occasionally occur. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any side-effects after taking the product. Keep all medicines safely away from children

How to take: For oral use. Pour one sachet of powder into a mug and fill with hot, but not boiling, water. Stir until dissolved. If preferred, sweeten to taste with sugar, honey or your usual sweetener. How much to take: Adults and children 12 and over: 1 sachet every 4 to 6 hours as required. Do not exceed 4 sachets in 24 hours. Do not give to children under 12. DO NOT EXCEED THE STATED DOSE. Warnings: CONTAINS PARACETAMOL. Do not take with any other paracetamol-containing products. Immediate medical advice should be sought in the event of an overdose, even if you feel well. If symptoms persist consult your doctor. DO NOT TAKE IF: allergic to any of the ingredients, if you have heart disease or high blood pressure.
