The active key ingredients in Pure GOLD COLLAGEN^® are hydrolysed collagen, vitamins C, E, B6 and hyaluronic acid.

Ingredients:water, hydrolysed collagen (10%), glucose-fructose syrup, citric acid (acidity regulator), flavouring substances (peach), malic acid (acidity regulator), antioxidant: ascorbic acid (vitamin C), α-tocopherol (vitamin E), N-acetylglucosamine, black pepper extract, sweetener (sucralose), pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), hyaluronic acid.

What is collagen and why is it so important?

Collagen is a family of approximately 20 proteins which accounts for 30% of the total amount of protein in the human body. Collagen is recognised by the medical and scientific community for providing a structural support for most tissues in the body, and is particularly abundant in connective tissue. Dense collagen and elastin form the extracellular matrix which gives the skin its structure, elasticity and firmness.

 

Over time the collagen breaks down and this decreases the elasticity of the skin. The health of the skin’s collagen is dependent on its fibroblasts. These are connective tissue cells in the dermis which are responsible for not only producing and organising the collagen matrix, but also by supplying the skin with hyaluronic acid which is responsible for cellular hydration. Without optimal hydration the skin’s collagen matrix breaks down.

 

What is hydrolysed collagen?

Hydrolysed collagen is a water soluble protein and is highly digestible due to its low molecular size (0.3 – 8 kDa) whilst native collagen is not easily digestible due to it higher molecular size (300 kDa). Pure GOLD COLLAGEN^® contains collagen made only from fish containing small chains of specific amino acids: glycine, proline and hydroxyproline which are easily absorbed by the body. Replenishing these amino acids is essential to maintaining the amount of collagen, key to a healthy and youthful skin.

How to take Pure GOLD COLLAGEN® Recommended dose: drink 1 bottle per day for visible results in 4-8 weeks. Pure GOLD COLLAGEN® is most effective if taken on an empty stomach.
